Psychological Associates
Therapy services offered are by a certified counselor whom is supervised by Dr. Mitch Bonin (Registered Psychologist). She has extensive experience in assessment and treatment. Psychological Associates are therapists with a Master’s degree whom are being supervised by a registered psychologist while working towards obtaining the status of Psychological Associate (Independent Practice). Our female psychological associate has over 10 years experience and had graduated as a School Psychologist from the University of Manitoba. She is a certified counsellor and psychometrist with the Ontario Association of Clinicians, Counsellors, Psychometrist, and Psychotherapists (Issued October 2016) with an interest in working with Adults and Teens (16 years of age and older). Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), validation based approaches, mindfulness based practices, and insight oriented practices. Therapeutic services offered include working with individuals whom have difficulties with:
- Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Depression
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Assertiveness and Creating Healthy Boundaries
- Attachment Disorders (Childhood Attachment Difficulties)
- Empaths
- Parenting Consults
- Anger Management
- Grief and Loss
- Pet Grief and Loss
- Caregiver Burnout (i.e., Working with parents whom care for children with disabilities, Foster parents)
- Life Transitions
- Moral Injuries
- Anxiety (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Hoarding)
- Overcoming Abusive Relationships (Workplace Bullying, Toxic Work Environments, Toxic Relationships)
Associates are supervised by registered psychologists, and as such, sessions may not be covered by all employee benefit programs. Please consult your insurance provider to see if services rendered by a psychological associate are covered. Fees to meet with an associate is $100 per session.
